Circular IQ: from stalled development to a usable SaaS product
Circular IQ helps companies make informed decisions about the circularity of their products and supply chains. Different organisations need to contribute, share and understand sustainability data. However, the initial development had stalled: there was no ready-to-use, scalable product.
GlobalOrange reviewed the code and user experience and worked with Circular IQ to clarify its product vision and roadmap. This led to a decision to rebuild. The result was a launch-ready platform that made complex sustainability information more accessible to users.

First, establish what it takes to move forward
A new development partner needs to understand the foundations before building on them. Circular IQ needed clarity on both the quality of its software and how its strategy translated into a product.
The code review and UX audit identified technical and usability issues. The product vision and roadmap workshop helped establish a shared direction. For this project, rebuilding proved the appropriate route to a usable, scalable product.
The starting point was the intended service, followed by deliberate choices about technology and scope. This is also how we approach modernising existing software.
Complex data, a simple user experience
A manufacturer can make better choices when information about materials and suppliers is available and usable. Circular IQ brings sustainability data from different organisations together, helping users compare information and apply it to decisions about circularity.
The design therefore focused on the people entering, sharing and using that data. A clear interface makes these activities more accessible, while the technical architecture addresses security, performance and scalability.
Domain expertise in sustainability was translated into a digital product that supports collaboration across the supply chain.
